2008 Custer Township Road Construction Project |
Beginning July 10th...
Smiley Road
will be CLOSED for repairs.
Custer Township will be improving approximately 7.5 miles of gravel to a hard surface. Currently we have 2.3 miles remaining to reconstruct
the road sub structure, and surface. When this is completed a seal coat surface will be applied to all 7.5 miles. This work
is projected to be completed by August 30, 2008.
Please avoid driving the roads under construction as much as possible. This will only slow down the progress. Check out the roads in the evenings if you wish to do so.
Please be extra cautious and watch for road closings, signage and construction vehicles.

SEAL COATING

A heavy coat of wax may help the tar from sticking to your car. Sorry
